Now that October is upon us, many of us are looking at these last few days of 2023 with a goal-oriented mindset. In my writer’s group, we have a “100 Days of Writing” challenge going on. We’re hitting these last 100 days hard with completion projects like finishing a manuscript, starting a manuscript, stock piling blog posts — all in the name of focusing on getting something done and feeling delightfully good about our lives, careers and progress.
How are you approaching this last quarter of 2023? With excitement, panic, fear, dread….unbounding joy? You have time to make it what you want it to be!
Is the fall your time to coast after grinding all year? Do you go into over-drive with meeting year-end benchmarks before 12/31? Do you wait until December and focus on New Year’s Eve resolutions? This year I’m doing a combo approach where via a challenge with Playwright Binge I used September to focus on marketing which meant updating my websites and putting forth efforts to market my book (that group was focused on marketing plays; I switched it up for myself but used them as my accountability buddy). October will be about getting new writing clients and gigs. November is my birth month and that will be about manifesting exciting new opportunities and hopefully starting my third novel, Harlem’s Night, during NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and December will be about getting ready for 2024 (I still need to map out what I want for 2024 and will update my vision board to help me out.)
